This weekend's Estate Sale will be south-of-Ventura Boulevard of Hayvenhurst Av in the hills of Encino and Located on a Cul-de-sac Street with plenty of parking.

The Lady of the estate was a well respected artist - a student of Franklin Leigel, a well known artist and teacher at Otis Art Institute.  She was a fashion and dress designer, and dress maker. She was painting, designing, knitting, sewing and tailoring.

Entire Contents of Her estate will be sold this weekend.

We are pleased to inform you that the sale will also include:

a gorgeous, in excellent condition, solid wood (1 inch thick) – hand curved, hand painted, Asian design - large folding room divider/screen bought from then famous Globman store. Size: 132 inch across - fully open – 6 panels, 22 inch each), 8 foot high. Antique: desk with side drawers, twisted leg planter with white and blue antique tile, Art deco bed, Marble top game/coffee table with chairs. A Pair of Large - Ruby Red Hand Cut Crystal Lamps, Wall Mirrors, Porcelain Table lamps, Metal - Art Deco and Modern Chandeliers, Crystal chandeliers,

Persian, Karastan rugs (two large - 9 feet 2 inch X 13 feet), and more, Costume and fine Jewelry and Watches.   Art, African statue, Crystal, Picture frames, Vintage suitcases, Collection: Thimbles, Figurines – Lladro, Royal Dolton, Royal Copenhagen, Val St Lambert, Hamel and etc. Masks, Noritake China and glasses, Nippon, Mikasa, Fostoria (glasses), Large Deft wall plate, Pottery, Baskets. Lots of Art, Knitting, Sewing books and magazines. Lots of  1880’s – 1900’s 1st edition books. Records LP’s (approx. 200). Audio and Video electronics. Baskets.

Collection of magazines: Filatura Di Crosa –Knitting Italy, Anny Blatt, Connoisseur, Art in America, Orientations, Art News, Vogue Knitting, Threads, Interweave Knitting, Knitter’s Magazine and much more.

The Lady traveled frequently and collected on her many world travels: fabulous collection of authentic kimonos, antique Chinese wedding dresses, hand woven Guatemala, huipils, ethnic wear, vintage textiles, fabrics, silks, knits -  from Japan, Hong Kong, Europe, Central and South America, India, Pakistan.  Also for sale: knits, laces, wools, yarns, threads, etc.

Lots of clothes -- including designers: Giorgio Armani, Ted Lapidus, Anne Klein,  and  designed clothes from Beverly Hills tailors, great hats, purses, a collection of designers shoes, leather and fur jackets, wool and silk suits, doilies, tablecloths, and etc.

Most of the clothing was bought at: Beverly Hills (Saks Fifth Avenue, Bullocks Wilshire, I. Magnin, etc.). 

Some of what will be sold this weekend will include the owner’s textiles, silks, knits, laces, wools, yarns, threads, etc., uncompleted works of fashion art, mannequins, knitting and sewing tools, and other accessories.

Large studio in the house has lots of art and painting accessories, supplies, sewing and knitting supplies and tools, drawings, fashion schematics, Art print plates and more.

Kitchen full of stuff: Pots, Pans, Accessories, Appliances, Silverware, Flatware, Dishes, Plates, Glasses and much more. Gas laundry washing machine (Whirlpool Model WTW 579OVO2 – almost new) and an older drying machine (Sears, Lady Kenmore). Patio flowers and pots and much more.

Home electronics: Sony GFD-12 Stereo Radio CD player, JVC RC-QC7 Radio CD player, Toshiba TV/VHS Video Recorder, Panasonic TV/VHS Video Recorder, Vintage Portable Sony Trinitron, Sawyers autofocus slide projector, Vintage AE 18Bv Speakers, RSL 3600 Studio Monitor Speakers. Royal Beveled side glass typewriter, Small shelf JVC UX-T1 stereo system, VHS video recorders, Portable TV’s and more.

A reminder:

We do not allow guests to enter the estate with purses.  For this, there are no exceptions (except for those purses that are very small ... similar to a wallet).

Bring your own boxes. If you plan on purchasing items that are heavy, bring help.  Our staff may not be able to assist you.

If you plan on purchasing items that require a truck or a moving van, please make prior arrangements.

We do not do pre-sales, nor do we provide prices prior to the sale.

We sell on a “First come, first serve” basis.
