Fire Tears Through Tarzana Home

It took 42 firefighters to tackle a fire that destroyed a Tarzana home Thursday.


Fire tore through a home in Tarzana today, but no one was injured.

The blaze was reported at about 5:50 p.m. at a one-story, single-family home at 5715 N. Shirley Ave., Martha Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

Forty-two firefighters responded and knocked down the fire in 23 minutes, Stewart said.
