Presented by: The NeuroCommunity Foundation and Providence St. Joseph Medical Center-Burbank.
Join us for free, community, educational and uplifting symposium where Dr George P. Teitelbaum, renowned Interventional Stroke Neurologist and Medical Director at the Neurovascular Center at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center will be the Keynote Speaker. His presentation is “Innovative Interventions in Acute Stroke Care”. Dr. Michael Marvi, Neurologist Stroke and TeleStroke Specialist will discuss the “Evolution of Acute Stroke Management and the Stroke Team”. Ruthanna Metzgar, DMA and founder of SongShine Foundation, will speak and demonstrate the physical and emotional healing benefits of music participation. Lastly, Colleen Carroll, Certified Yoga Therapist, will provide an interactive and evidence-based program in Neuro-Therapeutic Yoga that assists post stroke recovery and re-patterning.

The purpose of the symposium is to educate, equip and support patients and family members who have suffered a stroke with new treatments, updates, interventions, resources and a team approach within many hospitals.
