Lightning Triggers Encino Brush Fire

The blaze was one of multiple spot fires triggered by lightning.

ENCINO, CA — Firefighters battled a small hillside brush fire in Encino Wednesday. The blaze broke out in the 16900 block of West Encino Hills Drive, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department,

The department reports that crews on scene made quick work of the blaze. Air support is not available due to lightning in the area.

The blaze is one of several small spot fires in the Hollywood Hills triggered by lightning. In total, less than an acre was charred in the blaze.
