Residents were left in the dark Sunday morning in the valley.

An hour long power outage in the San Fernando Valley Sunday morning left approximately 17,000 customers in the dark.
According to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works, the cause of the outage is still under investigation but system dispatchers report that a disruption occurred to power flow through transmission lines. All power was restored just before 8 a.m.
The LADWP is also investigating reports from customers who were unable to reach the utility service to report a power outage.
