Recognize This Tarzana Bank Robber?

A bank robber dubbed the Skipper Bandit for looking like a "Gilligan's Island" cast member has been hitting up Valley banks.

The so-called Skipper Bandit, wanted for several bank robberies or attempted robberies in the San Fernando Valley, tried to rob a Tarzana bank eight days ago, FBI officials said today.

The heavyset suspect got his nickname for his habit of wearing a fisherman-style hat during the crimes, according to the FBI. He usually wears a golf-style shirt.

He is described as white, Hispanic or Armenian, 47 to 53 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 250 pounds.
