Pair Of Shootings On Ventura Boulevard Trigger Lockdown
Police are investigating a pair of shootings on Ventura Boulevard, but no shooter or victim has been found yet.

TARZANA, CA — Police are investigating a pair of shootings along Venture Boulevard in Tarzana Thursday night but have little to go on because the shooter and victim both fled the scene.
Los Angeles police responded to reports of shots fired along a busy stretch of Ventura Boulevard in Tarzana near Vanalden Avenue and about four blocks away near Wilbur Avenue, ABC7 reported. In both shootings everyone involved fled.
"They both fled from the location," Los Angeles Police Officer Mike Lopez told Patch. "We checked all the hospitals, and there have been no shooting victims."

Lopez said reports of a car crash at the shooting scene are false. However, one woman told ABC7 her car was struck as the person being shot at fled the scene.
According to the news station, the shooting was reported around 6 p.m. in the 19200 block of Ventura Boulevard, and it forced the lock down of a Ross superstore near the scene, A store manager told the station two people entered the business and had an altercation, leaving shortly before the shots were fired.
