Shooting Victim Crashes Car and Dies in Encino Parking Garage

Police are investigating the death of a man who crashed his car, and approached a passerby for help before collapsing and dying.

ENCINO, CA A man died from a series of gunshot wounds Thursday afternoon in an Encino parking structure where he crashed his car and approached a bystander before collapsing.

The incident happened at 2:15 p.m. at the 18000 block of Hatteras Street, Officer Tony Im of the Los Angeles Police Department said.

“The victim crashed, exited the vehicle and fell to the round,” Im said. “It was later revealed that he had two gunshot wounds to the chest.”

Investigators are still trying to figure out where the shooting occurred.

“There is no suspect description at this time,” added Im.

It’s the second time in two days that a man crashed his car while dying of a previously inflicted would, leaving Los Angeles Police searching for the original crime scene. On Wednesday, a fatal stabbing victim crashed into a tree and died about a block from County/USC Medical Center.
