In July, the sewer service charge is scheduled to rise by 6.5%. And that's not all. The DWP is planning to propose a 25% increase in water and electricity rates over the next four years.

Yesterday I attended a meeting at DWP headquarters to learn more about what's in store for us. You would not believe the out-of-control spending that is driven by a combination of reckless agreements, mindless regulations, unnecessary (and unfunded) state mandates, and lavish union contracts that make other city workers weep with envy.
