Community Corner

The Humane Society of the United States Holiday Leash & Collar Drive

Give Pets and Their Families a New Leash on Life this Holiday

In celebrating the season’s spirit of gift giving, The Humane Society of the United
States is calling on the community of Encino/Tarzana to help the underserved
pets and their families of East L.A. in a fun and easy way by donating leashes and
collars to the Red Barn Feed & Saddlery store.

New
(or gently used) leashes and collars with metal, rather than plastic buckles,
are preferred due to their strength and durability. Donated leashes and collars will be distributed by The HSUS Pets for Life Program, which provides free services such as spay/neuter surgeries, dog training, wellness care, pet food and pet supplies to underserved communities

The
drive ends on Sunday, December 15, 2013.
