The Sunday Snapshot: Settled in Encino
This week's snapshot is part of an ongoing series that profiles the faces and places of Encino.

Larry Silverton has lived in Encino since 1965. He says he settled in a place he happily calls home and has enjoyed watching his town grow. Silverton is a lawyer who also works on renovating run-down structures in the surrounding L.A. areas. His daughters, Nancy and Gail, have found great success in the nearby culinary world, with Nancy co-founding the likes of La Brea Bakery, Campanile and Pizzeria and Osteria Mozza, and Gail co-founding Gelato Bar.
Growing up on a farm in South Dakota, Silverton enjoys the one-acre ranch-like land he bought in Encino 45 years ago.
