Valley Man Killed Motorcycle Crash Identified

A 23-year-old Valley man died after colliding with a car making a left turn at a Santa Monica Boulevard intersection.

LOS ANGELES, CA -- A motorcyclist killed in a collision with a car in the east Hollywood area was identified today.

The crash occurred about 9:05 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Madison Avenue, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

Brandon Billips, 23, of Reseda died at a hospital, coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter said.

According to the LAPD, a 2016 Nissan Sentra driven by a 26-year-old woman was turning from westbound Santa Monica Boulevard to southbound Madison Avenue, and the motorcyclist collided with its right side.

The woman stopped at the scene and was released after being questioned. Neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected as factors in the deadly crash, police said.
