What Happens If You Don't Pay A Traffic Ticket?

The consequences of not paying a traffic ticket vary depending upon which state the traffic ticket is issued.

A lot of states are not so kind to traffic tickets that remain unpaid. A warrant of arrest is even issued by some courts. And as this may appear to be a radical measure, this warning does not have an effect on everyone.

Most likely, only a few know that failure to pay a traffic ticket could land them in jail. Yet again, some courts do not enforce it strictly. Whenever a traffic ticket is issued and the fine is not settled within the time allowed by the court, there will be additional costs to pay and the amount shall be handed over to a collection agency. In another way, a request can be made by the law court to the transportation sector in order to suspend the driving license.
