Man in Wheelchair Impaled When He Rear Ends Truck
A man in a wheelchair became impaled when he crashed into a stopped truck in Tarzana.

TARZANA, CA -- A man in a motorized wheelchair crashed into the back of a stopped car carrier Wednesday in Reseda and was impaled on the rig, but firefighters quickly freed him and took him to a hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury, authorities said.
The crash was reported about 4:40 p.m. on Reseda Boulevard beneath the Ventura (101) Freeway, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The victim's lower leg became impaled on the truck, but the man was in good condition when taken to a hospital, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
