Police say a 26-year-old woman swung a bat at her mother in law in Tarzana, Killing her and fleeing the scene.

An argument between the two broke out on the front lawn of the victim’s home in the 18000 block of Victory Boulevard around 11 a.m. on Saturday, Los Angeles police Lt. Brian Reynolds said.
The suspect, Los Angeles resident Cecelia Sharkey, had a bat in her hand at the time and allegedly swung at the victim’s head, Reynolds said.
