2 Found Dead In Home After Fire In San Marcos: Authorities
The bomb and arson unit and the homicide unit for the San Diego County Sheriff's Office are investigating the incident.
SAN MARCOS, CA — Two people were found dead in a home after an overnight blaze in San Marcos, according to police.
Authorities responded around 11:45 p.m. Saturday to the 900 block of Lacebark Street, where a residence had been engulfed in flames, police said. While working to extinguish the blaze, firefighters found two people dead in a room on the second floor, according to police.
The bomb and arson unit and the homicide unit for the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the incident and the county medical examiner’s office will determine the identity of the deceased, as well as the cause and manner of death, police said.
