'Armed And Dangerous' Suspect Sought In San Diego County Robbery

Authorities warned the public to not approach the suspect, who is wanted in the robbery of a donut shop in San Marcos.​

SAN MARCOS, CA – Authorities are seeking the public's help in identifying an "armed and dangerous" man wanted in the robbery of a North County donut shop.

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Marcos Sheriff's Station released surveillance photos Monday of a man who robbed the Yum Yum Donuts at 1240 East Mission Road in San Marcos around 1:30 a.m. Feb. 1. Officials said the man pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at the employee and demanded money from the register.

The suspect is described as a 25- to 30-year-old black man. He is 5-foot-8 and 180 pounds with a thin build and medium brown complexion. The suspect was last seen wearing a gray beanie, dark jacket, black shirt, dark blue jeans and white tennis shoes. His ears are pierced and he had a key chain around his neck.

Authorities warned the public to not approach the suspect. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call 911 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 888-580-8477. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case. Anonymous emails and mobile app messages can be sent via sdcrimestoppers.org.
