Baker Orthodontics is Now Happier Smiles Orthodontics in Escondido, CA

Baker Orthodontics in Escondido, CA, was acquired by Dr. Neelab Anwar and Dr. Cyrus Aghdam, a husband and wife, board certified orthodontic team. Dr. Cyrus and Dr. Neelab started their own orthodontic practice Happier Smiles Orthodontics and recently merged with Baker Orthodontics, now operating as Happier Smiles Orthodontics in Escondido, with the same commitment to creating beautiful, hand-crafted smiles and ensuring the highest level of patient care. They were recently voted as Top Orthodontists in San Diego magazine - 2024 April edition.

Both Dr. Neelab and Dr. Cyrus have donated over $60,000 in braces to kids who need help with the cost of braces through the Smiles Change Lives program. They joined Smiles Change Lives five years ago and have stepped up to treat kids in the Escondido and San Marcos communities in a major way. Smiles Change Lives is an international nonprofit that helps kids get braces who could not otherwise afford them.

Orthodontic treatment has long been considered cosmetic by insurance companies, providing little assistance, even for those that are insured. As a result, many children and teens suffer unnecessary discomfort and embarrassment from their misaligned teeth. Smiles Change Lives’ mission is to provide these families with the opportunity to provide their children with braces through its network of over 700 volunteer orthodontists, such as Dr. Neelab and Dr. Cyrus, in the United States and Canada.

She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Dr. Cyrus Aghdam (Dr. Cyrus) completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering at the University of Maryland School of Engineering.
