De Luz Fire Burns 10 Acres Near Fallbrook In San Diego County
There are no immediate structural threats, but fire officials advised residents in the area to be prepared to evacuate if necessary.

DE LUZ, CA – A fast-moving brush fire broke out Tuesday afternoon near Fallbrook, sending smoke into the air in North San Diego County and southwest Riverside County. The fire sparked at Conquistador Road in the De Luz area, according to Cal Fire.
The blaze, called the De Luz Fire, burned 10 acres, Cal Fire spokesman Issac Sanchez said. About 150 firefighters battled the fire from the air and on the ground.
The fire was first reported around 3:30 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol's incident log. Callers reported seeing smoke from Interstate 15.

In a little over an hour, firefighters had stopped forward progress of the flames. As of 5:19 p.m., the fire was 20 percent contained.

Firefighters were expected to remain at the scene into Wednesday morning to mop-up and construct containment lines.
