ESCONDIDO, CA — Crews have halted the spread of a brush fire that sparked Monday afternoon in San Diego's North County, fire officials said.
The blaze, called the Rockwood Fire, broke out at 3063 Sprucewood Lane near Escondido, according to Cal Fire San Diego. The flames scorched 2 acres and briefly threatened a structure before crews halted the spread.
