Fatal Escondido Crash: Police Seek Help Identifying Woman Struck And Killed By Car
Authorities were not immediately able to identify the victim. She was only described as "elderly."

ESCONDIDO, CA – The Escondido Police Department is asking witnesses to come forward and seeking the public's help in identifying a woman who was fatally struck by a car Wednesday.
Police said the victim was hit by a westbound BMW sedan on Vermont Avenue near Juniper Street shortly before 10:30 p.m. Although paramedics attempted to save her life, the woman died at the scene.
Authorities were not immediately able to identify the victim, police said. She was only described as "elderly."

The 18-year-old man behind the wheel of the BMW was not injured in the crash and was not suspected of driving under the influence, according to police.
