Fire Erupts In North County
A fire was reported near the intersection of Valley Center Road and Cobb Lane in Valley Center.
VALLEY CENTER, CA -- Firefighters Saturday were tackling a small fire in rural North County. A fire was reported near the intersection of Valley Center Road and Cobb Lane in Valley Center at about 11:30 a.m. Brush and trees were reportedly ablaze, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatcher.
The exact size of the fire was unknown, but a San Diego County sheriff's deputy said firefighters had it "mostly under control" as of 12:25 p.m.
