Brush Fire Sparks In San Marcos; Smoke Visible In North County
The blaze broke out around 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

SAN MARCOS, CA – A small brush fire sparked Thursday afternoon in San Marcos.
The blaze broke out around 1:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of Nordahl Road, sending plumes of smoke over North County, according to the California Highway Patrol and city of San Marcos.
Personnel from the San Marcos Fire Department, San Marcos Station and other regional agencies responded and quickly contained the flames, officials said. Crews were expected to remain in the area through the afternoon mopping up.
