Crash Slows I-15 Traffic In North County San Diego
Police advised motorists to avoid Bear Valley Parkway from San Pasqual Road to I-15 in Escondido. (BREAKING)

ESCONDIDO, CA – A serious injury crash Saturday closed lanes of Bear Valley Parkway in Escondido, slowing traffic on Interstate 15 in North County San Diego, according to the Escondido Police Department.
A car collided with a motorcycle around 10:52 a.m., prompting the closure of all southbound lanes between San Pasqual Road and I-15, according to Escondido Police Sgt. Eric Olson. Northbound traffic in the area was restricted to one lane.
The motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, Olson said. He was identified publicly only as a man, and details about his condition were not yet available. The driver of the car was not injured.

Police expected the closures to last until about 2:30 p.m.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area. Drivers were instructed to use I-15 north and Felicita as alternate freeway entrances and exits.
