Man Killed In Escondido Motorcycle Crash ID'd
Chris Wickersham, 53, of Escondido, was killed last week in a motorcycle crash on a freeway onramp.
ESCONDIDO, CA – Authorities Thursday released the name of a 53-year-old man killed last week in a motorcycle crash on an Escondido freeway onramp.
Chris Wickersham of Escondido was riding on the connector from West Citracado Parkway to northbound Interstate 15 when a sedan rear-ended his two- wheeler shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday, according to the Medical Examiner's Office.
Though he was wearing a helmet, Wickersham suffered severe head wounds when he tumbled onto the roadway, the county agency reported. Medics took him to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, where he was pronounced dead about 3 1/2 hours after the crash.

It was unclear if the involved motorist will face charges in connection with the fatality.
