Motorcyclist in Escondido High-Speed Chase Facing Charges
The rider reportedly traveled along city streets before ditching the bike off Don Lee Place near Auto Park Way in Escondido.

ESCONDIDO, CA – A motorcyclist who allegedly led California Highway Patrol officers on a high-speed chase through Escondido is facing charges Thursday.
Officers attempted to pull over a Yamaha motorcycle on northbound Interstate 15 near Via Rancho Parkway shortly after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, but the rider continued speeding to the Ninth Avenue exit, according to the CHP.
The rider apparently traveled along city streets before ditching the bike off Don Lee Place near Auto Park Way. Officers recovered the motorcycle and found the rider moments later, authorities said.
