ESCONDIDO, CA – Officials are investigating a report involving a male physical education teacher in a girl’s locker room at San Pasqual High School in Escondido. The Escondido Union High School District has placed the teacher on administrative leave, but he has not been charged by police, according to the Escondido Police Department.

A female student reported that a male teacher watched her change into her P.E. clothes while standing near the doorway of the girl’s locker room, Escondido police Lt. Justin Murphy said. Police took an initial statement Thursday and followed up with witnesses Friday.

"Based on those statements, there is no probable cause to believe the teacher was involved in any criminal behavior, and no charges will be filed at this time," Murphy said.
