Riverside County Earthquake Shakes San Diego Region
The quake struck at 10:44 a.m. about 41 miles northeast of Escondido, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — An earthquake centered in Riverside County shook parts of the San Diego region on Monday.
The preliminary magnitude 3.8 quake struck at 10:44 a.m. about 11 miles east-southeast of Anza, and about 41 miles northeast of Escondido, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. In San Diego County, residents reported feeling the earthquake in Escondido, Poway and Ramona, and as far away as Carlsbad, Encinitas and Oceanside.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries from the quake.
