Standoff With Suspected Shooter Prompts 'Shelter In Place' In SD
A man who was shooting guns in a garage prompted a SWAT response in San Diego Saturday morning.
RANCHO BERNARDO, CA — A man who is suspected of firing a gun in a garage of a home in Rancho Bernardo prompted SWAT response on Saturday morning, according to police and media reports.
The girlfriend of the suspect reported the shooting at 8:36 a.m. on the 17000 Robinia Ct., the San Diego Police Department told NBC San Diego.
Authorities issued a "shelter in place" for the area, SDPD announced at 9:06 a.m.

Authorities began telling people in the area to shelter in their homes at around 9 a.m., and residents in some nearby homes were evacuated.
SDPD Officer Sarah Foster said the standoff was still ongoing at 11:39 a.m.
