Shooting Threat Closes Rincon Middle School In Escondido

ESCONDIDO, CA – A shooting threat prompted the closure of an Escondido school Thursday.

Authorities are investigating the threat against Rincon Middle School. The threat was made in a Facebook post that said an attack was going to take place Thursday, authorities said.

The Facebook post came from a person who posted an image of the threat that stated the suspect was going to shoot up the school, warning people not to come, 10News reported.

No arrests were immediately reported.

As a precaution, school officials said the school would be closed Thursday.
