Sour Cream is Your Rancho Coastal Humane Society Pet of The Week

Sour is Sweet.

(RCHS - Mark Viguri)

Sour Cream is pet of the week at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. She’s a 3 year old, 12 pound, female, Domestic Short Hair cat.
Sour Cream was a stray. She was taken to a shelter then transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through the FOCAS (Friends of County Animal Shelters) program.
She was adopted, then returned one year later. Sour Cream lived with five adult humans and a 13 year old Chihuahua. She slept on her owner’s bed or on her cat bed in the closet.
Every day, her owners took time to play with her. Her play style is rough and tumble with a lot of energy.
She’s playful, curious, vocal, and independent.
The $100 adoption fee for Sour Cream includes medical exam, spay, up to date vaccinations, and registered microchip. For information about adoption or to become a Virtual Foster visit Rancho Coastal Humane Society at 389 Requeza Street in Encinitas, call 760-753-6413, or log on to www.SDpets.org.

Special note.

October is “Adopt a Shelter Dog Month.” Animal shelters have all types, sizes, and ages of dogs.
Some were given up because their owners died or moved. Some were surrendered because their owners were no longer able to care for them. And some arrive at shelters because they were lost or abandoned.
Shelter dogs have been vaccinated and examined for health, behavior, and temperament.
If this isn’t the right time for you to adopt a shelter dog, find out how you can volunteer or become a virtual foster by sponsoring a pet. For more information visit Rancho Coastal Humane Society at 389 Requeza Street in Encinitas, log on to www.sdpets.org, or call 760-753-6413.
