YPO Percussion Concert to Feature Lots of Rattle and Roll at Palomar College

Special concert set for 2 pm Sunday, April 23

Fans who appreciate the rhythm of percussion can get their rattle and roll on at a special concert set for 2 pm Sunday, April 23. It will be in the Howard Brubeck Theater at Palomar College, with tickets priced at $10 to $15.

The concert will feature a special solo performance by Dr. Ellen Weller, who directs the Palomar Symphony Orchestra. She is widely regarded as one of the most accomplished free-jazz instrumentalists on the West Coast. The concert will also feature Spiraling Light by Nathan Daughtrey; Knockturne by Clarence Barber; Syncopate My Afuche by Michael Aukofer, Pipe Dreamby Wayne Lyle arr. by Jacob Wrobel; and Root Beer Rag by Billy Joel arr. by David Steinquest.
