According to a report from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department, an unknown number of suspects entered the New York Avenue apartment complex and kicked in two apartment doors in the early morning of April 22.
Tools and construction materials belonging to Leek Landscaping, which was doing some lot-paving and installing security lights at the complex, was taken. Sheriff’s spokesman Deputy Jason Ramos said Wednesday the company’s owner was still in the process of completing an inventory of missing property.

Turned in
A husband was sentenced Tuesday to more than a month in jail for kicking his wife in the face during a heated argument last week.
San Saelee, 30, of Sacramento was arrested the morning of April 20 at his Hackberry Lane residence a few miles outside Fair Oaks on charges of domestic violence and false imprisonment. His 27-year-old wife told sheriff’s officers Saelee blocked her from leaving their home during the argument and threw her to the ground. Saelee then allegedly kicked her in the face, causing swelling. The wife was able to leave after the incident, according to the sheriff’s report.
Online court records show Saelee pled no contest Tuesday to one misdemeanor count of inflicting visible injury on a spouse, while the false imprisonment charge was dismissed. He was sentenced to 45 days in custody and three years probation.
No fight? No problem
Officers called to break up a fight instead arrested a wanted man in possession of methamphetamine earlier this month in Fair Oaks.
Ramos said sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 10000 block of Fair Oaks Boulevard to investigate a reported fight involving four males. When the deputies reached the parking lot, they were met by Darren Buckman, 46, whom a records check revealed to be wanted on an outstanding no-bail warrant.
A probation search of Buckman’s apartment turned up an off-white crystal-like substance determined to be methamphetamine. Buckman was then arrested and booked at the main jail in Sacramento on drug possession and probation violation charges.
An online search of court records turned up no arraignment for Buckman.
