Write it, read it, win it! Throw down with other poets grades 7-12. Three slams in April.

Calling all poets, grades 7 through 12! Do you have an original poem that you would like to share?

Our Teen Poetry Slams feature two divisions—7th-8th grade and 9th-12th grade—and offer prizes up to a $50 or even a $75 Target gift card. Entries must be written by the participant, and will be judged on originality, content and presentation.

Or maybe if you’re not the best, you can be the worst. Make your own magnetic poetry kit, write your own poems, and perform your spoken word art, bad poetry, excellent poetry and more at our Very Bad Poetry Slam. We will have coffee, hot chocolate and snacks to set the mood (though no prizes). Remember to dress the part! We are serious about our bad poetry.
