Be a Santa to a Senior this Holiday Season

Tis the season to be merry and brighten up a local seniors’ holiday through the Be a Santa to a Senior program! The program – run by the Home Instead Senior Care® offices serving Sacramento, Auburn and the surrounding areas, in partnership with Seniors First, area retailers, volunteers and members of the community – helps ensure isolated seniors receive gifts and companionship during the holidays.

Be a Santa to a Senior trees will be located at over 25 locations across Sacramento and Auburn. For a list of locations, visit BeaSantatoaSenior.com – or visit the trees at the local Home Instead offices (11160 Sun Center Drive, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 or 11899 Edgewood Rd., Auburn, CA 95603).

Retailers participating in Be a Santa to a Senior will display Christmas trees featuring ornaments with seniors’ first names and their gift requests until Friday, Dec. 27. Holiday shoppers can pick an ornament from these trees, buy the items listed and return them unwrapped to the store, with the ornament attached.
