A Few Little Tips to Help You on Your Wellness Journey

Today's Wellness Tip: Get some sleep!!!

Sleep is valuable and restorative and is critical to wellbeing and stress management, but sometimes is hard to come by for busy and stressed people. Using these 5 tips you can help to enhance the amount and quality of sleep you get!

  1. Take a walk after dinner – Light walking releases tension without over stimulating your body. 
  2. Listen to music - Use music to your benefit by playing relaxing tunes before bed to help you wind down and release tension as bedtime approaches.
  3. Keep your sleep space clean and organized – A messy room is a visual reminder of how much work you have to do. And often mess means stress. Being in a cluttered space can create low-grade stress and subtly affect your ability to completely relax.
  4. Take a bath or shower - Soaking in a tub or taking a shower can rinse away tension and leave your body pampered and your mind free. 
  5. Get a massage - Massage is a great stress reliever. Having regular massage will loosen muscles and stress in your body, relax you, and help you sleep better.
