Blog: Jesuit HS Alum Celebrates Alabama's Championship
Carmichael high school alum recounts following the University of Alabama's football team winning the 2012 BCS National Championship.
Every college football fan dreams of their team winning the national championship.
Each school is unique in itself whether it is a rich tradition, special players
or coach, or maybe that dream season that no fan will forget. I was born in a
"Crimson Tide family", and was given a decision when I was a child. I
either pulled for Alabama or slept outside with the dogs.
Just kidding...but seriously. In 2009, when Alabama won the grand prize I was able to see the game in person at the Rose Bowl. It truly was a dream come true, and something I am extremely grateful for.

Now being at Alabama as a student is absolutely incredible. Whether it is the hype all week for a game, or the "Quad" on game day Saturdays, being at Alabama this season was something I will always remember.
Being such an extreme college football fan, I am proud to be here at such a special time and place. I am elated for the University of Alabama, and most certainly the football team as they won their 14th national championship.

The constant reminder of the April storms, and the motivation to win the championship for the town of Tuscaloosa brings major signs of hope, and shows people that with hard work, bouncing back from adversity is possible. It makes me happy to be an official part of the Crimson Tide.
As for the campus, well it is electric! All around the campus (and town) is the number "14" and the words "national champions". And as I look out the window of my old, cramped dorm room, to see the atmosphere, I smile and say "Roll Tide
y'all!"
