Blog: Stop Complaining and Start Acting to Change What You Don't Like in Your Local and State Government!

You can fight City Hall, and we can show you how!

Things are looking pretty bleak here in our beloved state.

Unemployment is one of the highest in the country, businesses are leaving in droves due to excessive government-mandated environmental and business rules and regulations. Our schools, which used to be rated No. 1 in the nation, are now almost at the bottom of the list. Our roads and highway systems, which were once the envy of the nation are now deteriorating almost to the level of a third-world nation.

Special interests run our legislature, rather than the people of California. State and local governments refuse to make meangingful cuts to stay within their budgets, like every one of us have to in our personal lives; rather, they insist that the tax payer must be forced, by higher taxes, to continue to fund their wasteful programs and satisfy their addiction to spending "other people's money" for their own personal ideologies and agendas, which have very little to do with the welfare of the people they have taken an oath to serve, but has everything to do with serving the special interests who put them into office.

Radical Occupy Wall Street groups interrupt commerce in our ports, attack businesses (both large and small), our job creators, ignore personal property rights and illegally occupy homes and properties they do not own. All to get their demands of continuing and additional entitlements they feel they are owed just because they claim they "need" them; claim that those with more should be required by government mandate to share it with them because they have less---all this without being in any way willing to work for it.

How much more are you going to allow the government to take away from you, the hard working taxpayer, to give to those who have not earned it but feel they are entitled to it anyway? It is only going to get worse until you get up off the couch, make this a high priority, and get involved on some level to change it!

Carmichael Tea Party Activists is a group fighting for California's return to the basic principles of constitutionally limited government, fiscal responsibility and free markets. We organized our group to educate and motivate people to effectively fight City Hall. We have projects tailored to allow participation from minimal to maximum levels in this fight. We find out where your interests and passions lie and provide you with options from which you can choose in your commitment to "make a difference." We work locally only; there are plenty of tea party groups who prefer to work on a national level. Our philosophy is that all real change comes from the bottom and works its way up. That's exactly how the liberals/progressives have done it for the past 40 years here in California, and that's why they now completely run our state and have run it into the ground. Up until now we have stood by and let them do it.

We actually have fun working together on our projects. It is very rewarding to join with people of like hearts and minds and work together to accomplish goals we all believe in. We would like to invite you to attend one of our monthly group meetings, share your thoughts and ideas, and get involved in or start a project that is of passionate interest to you.

Our next meeting will be held on Thursday, Jan. 26, from 7-9 p.m. at the . Please join our Meetup group and keep updated on all future meetings.  If you would like to get notices of our action alerts and updates on current projects, please email me at pampink@pacbell.net, and I will add you to our distribution list.

I look forward to meeting my new Carmichael activist friends! If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at any time at the above address.
