Harvest Day 2012

Don't miss it!  This Saturday, August 4, 8am - 2pm is "Sacramento's Ultimate Gardening Event", Harvest Day at the Fair Oaks Horticulture Center. The event is located just south of Fair Oaks Park, just north-west of the Presbyterian Church in the back of the parking lot.  The entrance is on Fair Oaks Blvd. just south of Madison Ave. 

Presented by the Sacramento UC Master Gardeners, the event includes speakers, educational tables, vendors, and many experienced gardeners to answer your questions.  Walk around the Master Gardeners plots and orchards,  visit the over 100 community garden plots and see the Food Closet Gardens grown by the community gardeners. 

And, say hello to Farmer Jim and his wife Marilyn at the pickle tasting table under the big oak tree in the upper community gardens.
