Munchkins, and Pirates, and Flying Monkeys--Oh my! Family production of "Defying Gravity" opens in Fair Oaks!
"Defying Gravity" is a family musical featuring Fair Oaks Children ages 5 and up! New Star accepts every child that auditions and gives them a role with lines in the show!
Where can you find Munchkins, Pirates, Flying Monkeys, Alice in Wonderland, Glinda the Good Witch, The Scarecrow, a DRAGON, some famous Acrobats "The Flying Zedoras", Amelia Earhart, and so many more amazing characters in one place this weekend? At Fair Oaks Community Cluhouse Auditorium, 7997 California Ave, Fair Oaks, CA--that's where!
New Star Children's Theatre proudly presents the world premiere of the new original musical "Defying Gravity"! This terrific new musical features all of the characters above plus many more, in the story of OZ and what happened AFTER the Wicked Witch of the West was melted! The Flying Monkeys are flying "crazy" all over Oz, and Munchkinland, wreaking havoc everywhere they go and the Munchkins and Glinda don't know what to do! Suddenly a "new" witch falls down the rainbow and lands in the middle of Munchkinland and her name is Alice, yes Alice of Wonderland! Can Alice save the day? With the wave of Glinda's want, the Ozians are transported to a mysterious location, known as LIFT...They aren't in Munchkinland anymore! Will LIFT be able to solve thier problem with the Flying monkeys? To find out, bring your family to see the show this weekend!
"Defying Gravity" plays at 7 pm Saturday April 27th and 3 pm April 28th! Your child can be a part of New Star's next production of "Aladdin and the Magical lamp" which auditions on Thursday May 9th! They also have a 2 week summer daycamp production for the Elly Nominated Best Original Musical "The Adventures of Little Red and Goldilocks".
