Protect Your Carmichael Home

Earlier this month, a burglar on a bicycle spotted a small bathroom window open while he was riding westbound on Engle Road in Carmichael.

So, in broad daylight, he crawled into the home. The owner was home and confronted him!

The burglar ran out the door and got away. The sheriff's deputies responded. The suspect was gone.

Some lessons:

1-Don't leave your windows open UNLESS you have secured them in some other fashion, such as a wooden dowel rod, window lock, or other devices available at your locksmith's shop

2-Given a choice, NEVER confront an intruder, as YOU can be attacked, whether you are a man or a woman

3-If possible, exit the home and call 911, and don't go back inside until given the okay by law enforcement.
