Carmichael Resident Killed in Motorcycle-Van Collision
A 52-year-old man was killed Tuesday night while driving on Fair Oaks Boulevard.

A Carmichael man was killed while driving his 16-year-old son on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle at about 7:38 p.m. Tuesday night.
The boy, visiting from Oregon, sustained major injuries and is being treated at Mercy San Juan Medical Center, according to Officer Lizz Dutton, California Highway Patrol spokesperson.

The driver of a Toyota Sienna collided with the man and his son on the motorcylce while making a left turn out of a parking lot onto Fair Oaks Boulevard just south of Marconi Avenue, Dutton said.
Both father and son were wearing helmets. It is not clear if the 51-year-old woman from Sacramento saw the motorcycle coming before the collision, explained Dutton. She reportedly sustained minor injuries including scrapes and some pain. She was not transported to a hospital from the scene, said Dutton.

CHP officials are not yet releasing the names of those involved in the accident.
