Crime Blotter for April 24-May 1: Carmichael Teen Alleges Molestation
Sibling dispute results in kicked doors, overturned flowerpots.

October case investigated
Sheriff’s investigators are looking into a six-month-old molestation allegation that recently surfaced in Carmichael.
According to a report from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department, the alleged victim, a 13-year-old girl, was babysitting her siblings at a residence in the 3000 block of Apple Blossom Way in Carmichael on the afternoon of Oct. 1, 2010. Her 20- or 21-year-old uncle was at the home and reportedly asked the girl to go into an adjoining room alone with him. While in the room, the uncle was alleged to have fondled the victim through her clothing. The report says the victim left the room and that the uncle followed.

According to the report, the girl has had limited contact with the suspect since the incident.
Sheriff’s spokesman Deputy Jason Ramos declined to answer specific questions about the case, but said an effective investigation can still be conducted even though the accusations were reported just last week.

“There is plenty that can be done six months after an alleged incident of this type has occurred,” Ramos said. “I’d rather not disclose that, though, because they are valuable investigative tools that we use to make arrests in cases where otherwise, it’s just one victim’s story against a suspect’s adamant denial.”
Gunshots draw attention
Popping off gunshots is not an acceptable way to celebrate a social gathering.
Two Sacramento apartment dwellers learned that the night of Easter, when sheriff’s officers responded to their apartment complex in the 4000 block of Orange Grove Avenue in Sacramento, just north of Carmichael.
According to Ramos, a tenant witnessed one of his neighbors, Ramiro Solis-Aguilera, 21, firing shots outside in the complex. The tenant contacted the property owner, who called the authorities.
When officers arrived, they found Solis-Aguilera and several other subjects “kicking back” in the living room of 20-year-old Anthony Northrop’s apartment, Ramos said.
A probation search of the apartment located a handgun in the kitchen cabinet, and a cellphone was found on Northrop that contained evidence of drug sales, said a sheriff’s report. Officers’ suspicions were seemingly confirmed when they discovered marijuana and a digital scale in Northrop’s vehicle.
Northrop was arrested on drug charges, while Solis-Aguilera was arrested on weapons charges.
Sibling rivalry
Brothers and sisters fight, but not usually like this.
A 22-year-old man was arrested the morning of Easter Sunday for trashing things around his sister’s Carmichael home. According to Ramos, two separate arguments led to the fracas at the Stanley Avenue residence. Earlier in the day, Julian Placencia had an argument with his girlfriend. When the girlfriend left, Placencia’s 24-year-old sister “told him he couldn’t act like that at her place,” Ramos said. “He then started arguing with her (his sister) about what he could/couldn’t do, and it just escalated from there.
A sheriff’s report says Placencia exited the home began knocking over flower pots and kicking doors. Placencia reportedly damaged his big sister’s garage door, as well as a cast iron screen door attached outside the home’s front entrance.
Placencia was arrested and booked into the Sacramento County Jail on charges of vandalism and violation of probation.
