Rollingwood Racquet Club to become Rollingwood Athletic Club

A fixture since the 1980's, Rollingwood Racquet Club, has changed ownership and begun major improvements to its multi-acre campus. Already offering an award-winning tennis program as well as racquetball, its also home to the Rollingwood Rockets the local championship swim team. Gym facilities, land and aquatic fitness classes, a Pilates Reformer studio and Group X Room will stay as will the heated indoor and outdoor pools and childcare facilities. With a location right on the American River Parkway, its an ideal center for everyone in the area.

New owners, MKD Health, have already begun the remodel on the social lounge, creating a larger more user-friendly entertaining space with a 'pub-like' feel, upgrades on various fitness rooms as well as installing a new Crossfit Box and Reebok Crossfit program. The 12 tennis courts and court lighting system were recently remodeled and upgrades to the internet and telephone communications infrastructure will be undertaken in-conjunction with the parking lot repaving, added walkways & landscaping. New, contemporary signage featuring a drive-by event calendar and an extension of the observation deck are also upcoming, as is a revamped website.

As the changes occur, the club will become known as Rollingwood Athletic Club in keeping with the all-inclusive health and fitness offerings. If you've never been or haven't visited in a while, the things that made the club comfortable, like a home away from home, will still be there but the upgrades & added facets will make it an even more fun place to be.

A Meet & Greet Open House is scheduled for Sunday October 25th to meet the new owners and staff, see what's been done so far with renderings on display to see what's in-store and to enjoy demos from every department
