Bring your child to the library to read aloud to a quiet friendly dog. Each dog is attended by an adult volunteer and both are trained and licensed by Therapy Dogs Inc. Children who read to the dogs can earn a book of their choice from our collection of books provided by the Friends of the Fair Oaks Library. And for our December program we are encouraging participants to come in their pajamas!

Radical Home Ec. @ Fair Oaks: Lucet and Kumihimo Cord-Making with Jennifer Tan(Recurring) (Adult)

In this series of fun programs for adults we will learn about a topic create a project and walk away with the tools to continue making things at home! We meet the first Saturday of each month in the Community Room from 11 AM - 1 PM Learn the Medieval Scandinavian and Japanese cord-making arts of lucet double lucet and kumihimo. No experience necessary. You will be provided with tools to use during class. Please bring one ball of worsted weight yarn preferably multi-colored. Lucets will be available for optional purchase at the end of class. This program funded by the Friends of the Fair Oaks Library
