Theme: Murder & Mayhem – Be Intrigued
SACRAMENTO, CA - Nancy Baker, President, Assistance League® of Sacramento announced the non-profit organization will host the 3rd Annual Authors’ Day fundraising event on Saturday, March 2, 2013, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM at the Marriott Hotel in Rancho Cordova. President Baker said, “The theme this year is Murder & Mayhem - Be Intrigued by four local mystery authors who will speak and present comments and readings of their respective books.
The featured authors are:
Robin Burcell (Lodi) – Forensic Science Mysteries – Former Lodi Police Department officer, and forensic artist for Sacramento County Department of Human Services. She uses her knowledge of forensic science and artistic reconstruction to enhance her FBI mystery series. The registration fee is $75, which includes refreshments for the day, a gourmet luncheon, and a no-host Authors’ Reception. Book sales, opportunity prizes and a silent auction are also included. The event starts at 8:30 AM for sign-in and morning refreshments, and ends at 3:30 PM following a no-host Authors’ Reception. Proceeds from the event will enhance the all-volunteer organizations’ philanthropy in Sacramento, Yolo, and El Dorado counties.
