On Saturday, March 16, Assemblyman Ken Cooley (AD 8) will host a free tax preparation assistance workshop for families in the Citrus Heights area. Starting at 12:00 PM, the workshop will give families an opportunity to sit down with licensed accountants, talk about their tax liabilities, determine what tax deductions and credits they may be eligible for, and prepare to file their state and federal taxes.
This free event is being hosted with the support of volunteer accountants from the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, and will take place at the Sylvan Oaks Library in Citrus Heights. People who plan to attend the event should bring their W-2 and other tax related documents.
