Gregory Cain's 'Mojave Sand' CD Release Party

What: Local musician Gregory Cain releases Mojave Sand, the latest of his original, ambient, new age music. This relaxing instrumental is laced with Native American flute to sooth the soul. It's the perfect companion for meditation, yoga and massage, or as background for a quiet dinner by the fire. Don't miss this opportunity to meet the artist and experience a live performance.Hors d'oeuvres and great music will be served.

About the artist: From Sacramento, California, Gregory Cain brings a wealth of passion and experience to his music.
Having studied music theory and composition at Western Michigan University, Mr. Cain includes amongst his credits work with 
Northern California-based bands Sway, nûs and Dance the Moon. As the founding member of nûs, he recorded a CD for SubRosa Records under the direction of renowned producer Bill Laswell.
A multi-talented instrumentalist, his last 3 projects are comprised entirely of his own compositions and performances.
Mr. Cain describes his music as a blend of ambient, tribal and new age styles. His musical influences range from classical composers Igor Stravinsky and Kurt Weil to contemporary musicians Stuart Copeland, Coyote Oldman and Dead Can Dance to new age artists Kenneth Newby, Steve Roach and Stephen Kent.
