Fair Oaks Child's Wish to Meet A Tiger Comes True Through Make-A-Wish and United Health Foundation

Chloe, 9, of Fair Oaks lives with a heart defect. When presented with an opportunity for a wish, she chose to meet a tiger at the San Diego Zoo.

Her wish came true through a national partnership between UnitedHealthcare and Make-A-Wish. Chloe learned about her wish at the Folsom Zoo, which opened just for Chloe’s family and friends.

Local UnitedHealthcare employees hosted a surprise wish-reveal at the zoo, where she met Folsom Zoo tigers, Misty and Pouncer, for a special “paint with a tiger” experience.

Later, Steve Cain, vice president, UnitedHealthcare of California, presented Chloe with her wish itinerary. Chloe and her family traveled earlier this month to the San Diego Zoo. Since 2007, UnitedHealthcare has funded more than 2,100 wishes through a $7.5 million alliance with
