Fair Oaks People versus Sacramento County Planners

My principal (seller) owns 6 acres of “prime dirt” in Fair Oaks.  Fifteen years ago, he had approval to sell 3.5 acres subdivided into 6 empty parcels on a cul-de-sac.  That cul-de-sac emptied onto a relatively low-traffic street.  The seller allowed that permitted development to expire.  Then last year, the seller re-commenced the effort and got approval from the Fair Oaks Planning Advisory Committee for the same cul-de-sac structure.  (This advisory committee is made up of volunteers who perform due diligence and make recommendations to the County.  This alleviates backlogs and makes decisions valid at the local level.)

In this particular case, the County has overruled the local advisory committee thereby forcing a possible Eminent Domain issue rather than what the people want.

I have canvassed all relevant streets and homes notifying the neighbors of the events.  Most are hoping to attend on 7/22.

My desire is to voice opposition to corruption of the process and the changes proposed by the County Staff.  For the Patch reader, my hope is that you will stand with me on 7/22 with my promise to stand for you when needed.
